Effective Email Marketing – How to Use Email Marketing Build Rapport and Increase Sales

email marketing No Comments »

When we talk about online marketing, we cannot leave email marketing out of the picture. Nowadays, email is the most common channel for communication online. If you know how to make use of email marketing to build rapport with your consumers, it can really help boost your business.

In this article, let me share with you the dos and don’ts of email marketing. Let us start off with what you should not do with email marketing:

1. Be sincere to help your subscribers. Do not try to sell your product and service in every email that you sent. If you do this, no one will be going to read your emails. So be sincere and provide useful information that will help your subscribers. Givers gain.

2. Do not send them emails every day. By sending emails to your subscribers every day, you will irritate them. This will make them view your emails as spam mails and they will not open your messages.

3. Do not use spam words like “free” in the subject header of your email message. This is because many mailing service providers will send your email to the spam folder if they detect spam words in your messages.

4. Do not talk to everyone with your email message. You should address your email message to a target audience.

5. Do not address many topics in a single email. Keep your email messages simple and straight to the point. Talk about one topic and make it good.

Now that we had gone through the things that you should not do with email marketing, let us move on to the things that you must do for effective email marketing:

1. Provide them with useful information. You should provide useful information in your email messages that will solve the problems of your subscribers. If you want to recommend a product or service, make sure your subscribers can benefit from it.

2. Make your email messages personal. Stay friendly and treat it as if you are talking to a friend.

3. Learn how to create anticipation. Especially before a product launch, you should send your subscribers a series of email messages to create the anticipation. Do not give it all away. This will make them anticipate your new product and you will enjoy a more successful launch.

4. Place an unsubscribe link at the bottom of your email message. By offering an easy unsubscribe option to your subscribers, you will gain more trust in them.

Email marketing is definitely an effective way of marketing to grow your business. If you are not currently using this channel to market your business, you should do it now.

How To Build A List Without An Autoresponder

autoresponder No Comments »

I know, that title right there may sound a little misleading. But it isn’t. I have nothing against email autoresponders — I’ve used them myself. For donkey years. But then in the end, I canceled them all. Why? Because they didn’t work for me anymore. I’m sure they do for some Gurus (bow) — and maybe you, but let’s face it, have you checked the amount of SPAM hitting your inbox lately? Or aren’t you getting spammed? Lucky for you if you’re not. No offense, but every download, every info product, wants you to opt-in to their list – first. Have you noticed that? Or is it just me? This article will look at a growing marketing trend that if applied with tact, can well be your ideal alternative to email marketing.

So, with all of that stacked up against you (and by all means it isn’t your fault), what is the likelihood of your mail being actually opened and read by everybody on your list? You go figure! I’ll tell you this, I don’t read anybody’s mail (I’m referring to the opt-in type mail as mentioned above). I read what I like to call REAL mail from REAL people — friends, business partners, associates, clients etc, and NOT mail from people trying to sell me something every day of the week. I know I’m not alone here, so I won’t even bother to defend myself. This is what MOST people on lists do. My inbox has over 1,000 emails at any given time. If I read all of that gunk I wouldn’t be in business because I wouldn’t have any time left to do anything else. So where does that leave us … the internet marketer struggling to make a buck online via building a list to pitch products and services to?

In Summary: I think you already know where I’m going with this. There’s gotta be another way, right? And there is. Twitter, the new social networking phenomena, is quietly building online marketers the lists they want in whatever niche they’re in, but the difference with Twitter is that your followers (opt-in list) actually read your Tweets (messages). I’ve picked up some great information on Twitter, and I’m building relationships with some really nice people on Twitter. Whoever invented this social network is a genius. I’m launching a novel on March 25th 2009 … exclusively on Twitter. So you can imagine. The potential to thrive on the Internet is well within your grasp if you Tweet! Forget autoresponders, they’re obsolete! Or so it seems.

We all know what a pest autoresponder mail that arrives in your inbox can be. It gets pretty overwhelming at times, especially considering the amount of products that are out there. Almost all websites giving away an e-book or information for free will ask you for your personal information (i.e. your name and email). And that’s just for them to part with a product or information for free. In other words, you’ve got to give to get. Or so the saying goes. In the end, there’s a heck of a lot of lists you find yourself subscribed to, some with good content, and some with the obvious … useless content. I’m not here to knock list-building itself as a lead-generation strategy, I just wanted to bounce off an idea that is working for a lot of online marketers and that is getting more and more effective by the day; and that doesn’t involve emailing anybody anything. Building a list without an autoresponder is perfectly viable when you use Twitter to build your list and to get the word out. It is addictive, and that in itself somewhat guarantees readership far more than email can at this point in time. Well, given the circumstances. So, to grow your business in a volatile marketplace where email is getting more and more difficult for recipients to cope with, be sure to try out Twitter. But make sure you don’t SPAM their system, Twitter will boot you out so fast.

Home Business Marketing – Your Own Autoresponder Is The Best Way To Build An Email List

autoresponder No Comments »

Good home business marketing begins with building and using an opt-in list. When it comes to building your list there are several different ways you can go. I happen to believe that having your own autoresponder is the best way to build an opt-in e-mail campaign and we will talk about that in this article.

You can certainly purchase leads and let other people build your list for you. One way to do that is purchasing co-registration leads. You can even rent a list and send emails to it. All email is one way to do that but is that really an effective way to make money?

Because most people who come to a website never make a purchase it’s important that you concentrate on getting their contact information for future follow. Utilizing your own autoresponder is the best way to get names and e-mail addresses for your home business marketing follow-ups.

An autoresponder is an automatic way to send email and takes all the guesswork out of things for you. You can even pre program your whole email marketing campaign in advance. This allows you to concentrate on building your list by capturing names and email addresses of your visitor.

The most effective way today to build your own list is to promote landing pages or splash pages as they are sometimes called. You have probably seen landing pages as you surf around the Internet. You may have even joined a list by filling out a form on one.

A really good landing page captures your attention and makes it very easy for you to provide your contact information. They do this by making you want to sign up for the information that they can provide you.

If you personally have your own product you can still use a landing page to capture contact information before passing them through to your sales page. If you sell other people’s products such as an affiliate marketer would do, you still want to do the same process before passing your visitor to your affiliate sales page.

Having your own autoresponder allows you to promote your splash page and then capture the contact information into it. A quality auto responder such as Aweber or GetResponse can automate the whole process while allowing you to build a list that is strictly yours and no one else’s.

In your home business marketing efforts, it is so important that your own opt in email campaign is utilizing your own autoresponder. You are not only building your list, you are also building your future with your list becoming an asset you own.

Build Interest with Autoresponder Messages

autoresponder No Comments »

If you are using your autoresponder to sell a product or service, you must be very careful as to how you approach your potential customer. Few people like a hard sale, and marketers have known for years that in most cases, a prospect must hear your message an average of seven times before they will make a purchase. How do you accomplish this with autoresponders?

It’s really quite simple, and in fact, the autoresponders make getting the message to your potential customers those seven times possible. On the Internet, without the use of autoresponders, you probably could not achieve that. Too often, marketers make the mistake of literally slamming the potential customer with a hard sales pitch with the first autoresponder message – this won’t work.

You build interest slowly. Start with an informative message – a message that educates the reader in some way on the topic that your product or service is related to. At the bottom of the message, include a link to the sales page for your product. Use that first message to focus on the problem that your product or service can solve, with just a hint of the solution.

Build up from there, moving into how your product or service can solve a problem, and then with the next message, ease into the benefits of your product giving the reader more actual information with each and every message. Your final message should be the sale pitch not your first one! With each message, make sure that you are giving the customer information pertaining to the topic – free information! This is what will keep them interested in what you have to say.

This type of marketing is an art. It may take time to get it exactly right. Use the examples that other marketers have set for you. Pay attention to the messages that you receive from other marketers. Start a ‘swap’ file, and keep those messages. Use some of the better sales copy for your own autoresponder messages – just make sure that yours doesn’t turn out to be an exact copy of someone else’s sales message!

Remember not to start with a hard sale. Build your potential customers interest. Keep building on what the problem is, and how your product or service can solve that problem or fill that need. If you are doing this right, by the time the potential customer reads the last message in that series, they will be convinced enough to make a purchase!

List Building Tips: How to Build a List in 4 Great Ways

list building No Comments »

If you have been around internet marketing for more than a minute, you have probably heard the saying, “the money is in the list”. Well grab a chair and listen up, because it’s true. Even if you have hundreds or thousands of visitors to your website every day; you are still missing out on the best way to increase your profits: list marketing.

The Purpose of a List
A good email list allows your visitors an easy way to “know, like and trust you” which any salesperson will tell you is the quickest route from stranger to satisfied customer. Once you know how to build a list, you can use it to market to both a potential and current customer base.

4 Ways to Build a List

(1) Offer a free newsletter or ezine – We all like a bargain. And a “free” email jammed pack full of solid information and useful tips is one the oldest and despite in the increase in spam, still one of the most dependable ways to remain in contact with your customers. In sales studies, over 90% of all customers said they would buy products or services again from the same vendor, “if asked.”

Use a free newsletter not only to build a list but build a list of repeat buyers!

(2) Make it Easy to Subscribe and Unsubscribe – Place your subscription link or form on each and every page of your website, not just on your homepage. Put it in an eye-catching and prominent position. You want your visitors to have every opportunity to sign up for your list. Also make it easy for them to see how simple it would be unsubscribe.

What…? But you want them to stay on your list as long as possible, right? Why would you make it easy for them to unsubscribe? Simple…most people don’t like getting into unknown situations with seeing the “exit is this way” sign first.

People don’t know you yet, and they are uncertain if you will fill up their inbox with yet more spam. So if you prove how trouble-free it would be unsubscribe then they will be more willing to sign and give you their previous email.

(3) Write Quality Articles – Writing articles is the most affordable way to both drive visitors to your website (to build your list) and to “prove” that you are an expert or specialist in your field. We all like to think of ourselves as being independent and strong minded, but if we get into trouble or are having a tough time figuring things; we all valve the input of “professional” or “expert” help.

Place your articles on your website, in your newsletter and submit them to article directories, and to other newsletters or blogs in related fields. Always include a resource box that links back to your list building landing page or to your main index page.

Don’t forget when you write articles to give away your best information! What? Yes, I know sounds counter intuitive but think about it just for a moment. If you give away your best “what-to-do” information, then you leave the world open for you to promote your best “how-to-do-it” products and services in your list. And people do think, “Dang, if they are giving stuff like this away for free, then their products/services must be first-rate!”

(4) Write a Free Ebook – Take several of your better articles or newsletter issues, polish them up, add a little bit more information and then combine them into a free, “best of ____” ebook. Some people may be reluctant to sign up for a “regular” published newsletter, will cheerfully sign up (and exchange their email address) for a 10-25 page ebook jammed packed with quality content and tips that they can use to solve a problem.

Now that you know how to build a list using these 4 tips, can truly understand make your email address book into a “money list”.

3 List Building Strategies That Can Change Your Mind then Change Your Life and Build Your Business

list building 1 Comment »

Are you trying to build your subscriber list but bewildered by all the traffic building options that are all over the internet. If you remove the hype from all the individual internet marketers there are essentially a few distinct but easy to follow phases to building your lists with a true opt in process.

There are really 3 phases to attracting potential customers, getting them to subscribe and ensuring they become long time customers of your home or solo owned business
1. Uniqueness
2. Distinctive
3. Consistency

1. Be Unique and very much self-aware
Know yourself is simple but hard to do. It is why we all love polls and questionnaires because it gives insight into ourselves. Well we start with this as the key strategy because once you know yourself you can make all else change to meet your needs. The infrastructure of list building is the same. The process you select will make the difference in your sticking with it on a daily basis.

2. Be Distinctive – have one solid set of processes and strategy

Basic List Building – Foundation Strategies
1. You need to learn about building customer database and email broadcasting systems
2. You need to learn about an email capture and list building database.
3. You will need to know how to write an opt-in web page that works to enforce signups.
4. You need to understand the dynamics of a “squeeze page” and how they work.
5. You will also need to develop a compelling ezine description
6. You also need to know what to put on the “thank you” page and followup.
7. You will also need to learn what to put into an autoresponder.

3. Be Consistent – stay the course, be in it for the long haul.
Like the real estate agents are fond of saying location, location, location. In list building and traffic generation we can say repetition, repetition, repetition. Consistently doing a small boring thing well is better then doing an exciting thing badly.

As an aside, once you get going you will need to learn residual back end income strategies. These consist of more advanced learning like the basics of monetizing your pages. Then you will learn the process of developing your unique way of building additional customer loyalty.

Building your list can be very rewarding and your sales of internet products will increase tremendously.

However it is highly recommended that first you learn yourself, second follow a plan and third, be consistent.

Using Autoresponder Messages To Build Interest

autoresponder No Comments »

You have to be very careful when approaching potential clients, especially when using your autoresponder to sell a service or product.

There are not many individuals interested in a hard sell; successful entrepreneurs have known this for years. People go online to seek more information regarding to a certain product.

In most cases, potential clients have to read your message about 7 times before making a purchase. How can you do this with an autoresponder?

Autoresponders make getting your message out to potential clients possible and simple. Without a responder online, you would not be able to do this.

All too often, entrepreneurs mistakenly slam their potential clients with hard sales pitches with their first autoresponder message. This does not work.

You must build interest slowly. Begin with an informative message, one that educates your readers on something about the topic that concerns your service or product.

The first message should focus on solving a problem with the use of your service or product and only a small hint of the solution.

Build from there, moving up into how problems are solvable with the service or product. With the next message, tell about the benefits of using the product, while providing more actual information with every message. The sales pitch comes with the final message, not the first.

Just make sure you are giving the information concerning the topic to the client free. This builds excitement and keeps them interested in what you are telling them.

Marketing in this way is an art, although it does take time to master. Use examples from messages you have received from other entrepreneurs.

Organize a swap file to keep those messages. You can modify some of the better sales copy for your autoresponder, however do be mindful of the copyright laws and giving due credit. Sending out an exact copy of a sales message that belongs to another is not good business.

Do not begin with a hard sale. Slowly build the interest of your potential clients. Keep building on the problem situation and how your service or product fills the need or solves the problem.

When you do this right, by the time your potential clients read the last series of messages, you have accomplished two things. First, you have proved yourself knowledgeable in the subject area. Secondly, your readers naturally like to learn more about your product or services either by contacting yourself or making the purchase as a result. Ultimately, by creating your customers’ interest towards your product and services through automated email messages, you will win customers over time.

Using an Email Marketing Agency to Build Business

email marketing No Comments »

If you have looked into email marketing, you have probably come across an email marketing agency or two. You may have even encountered the concept of email broadcast software and mailing list lead generation. But, if you are unfamiliar with the inner working of these strategies, they can seem very confusing. In this article, we’ll take a look at each to determine how they work and how they can help grow your business.

Email Marketing Agencies
An email marketing agency can help you to design a direct email marketing campaign to promote your business and increase your sales. Though each agency works differently, most offer advice on mailing list lead generation, introductory emails, email design, email list management, sales promotions, and database marketing. If you need extra help, you be able to find an email marketing agency that can offer you email broadcast software to help you build, send, and track emails.

If you are unfamiliar with building campaigns and email strategies, an agency can offer you the information you need to become an expert on the subject. Most agencies will also provide you with marketing tips to help drive readers to your website and get them to opt-in to your email list.

The price you pay for these types of services can vary significantly. Unfortunately, so can the results. If you are thinking about hiring an email marketing agency, be sure to check their credentials, and ask plenty of questions about how their process works. You may also want to question why the agency stands out among their competitors. If they can’t provide you with a good answer, consider contacting another email marketing agency that can offer you more.

Email Broadcasting Software
All companies should have the ability to communicate with their customers efficiently and effectively. Using email broadcasting software can make this a whole lot easier. With software, you can bring your email marketing management in house. This ensures that your email list won’t get into the wrong hands, and you will not have to worry about unexpected and unfounded surcharges. Software can be used for newsletter distribution, email marketing, promotions, and much more.

Good email broadcasting software has mailing list creation and editing, email message composition tools, and professional email broadcast. Great email broadcasting software has everything mentioned in the previous sentence, plus data-processing tools, link and email tracking, a bounce-back pickup system, mailing list lead theft protection, an integrated sign-up page, and a double opt-in option.

Mailing List Lead Generation
If an email marketing agency or email broadcasting software won’t bring you the leads you need, you can look into the many companies who offer mailing list lead generation. These companies can provide you with qualified leads that you can use to find new customers. However, you will want to be very careful. It is important to get leads suited to your business. If you can’t turn the leads into customers, any work or money that you have spent will turn out to be a waste.

List Building Secrets – Build A List In Irrelevant Niches

list building No Comments »

List building secrets do exist, if you’re not out searching for other ways to increase your list results and number.

A recap on list building. Building a list, I believe, is a mandatory business attribute if you’re looking for long term growth and stability.

Let’s look at the major players in the online world, a perfect example would be Amazon. The minute you buy from amazon don’t kid yourself but your information is obviously being collected and they are building a huge customer base of millions of people.

If amazon wanted they could stop selling to the public and continue to make millions from their current list of customers.

The obstacle I see is how to approach a group of buyers and begin building a list where you can develop products and continue to market to them continuously.

You don’t want to just go and sell 1 time and get out, although that may work at times you are not really building a equitable business that provides value to a certain market.

Wealth is created by providing value to a certain market place, always keep that in mind. Think long term when you’re approaching a niche.

I want to give you an example of thinking laterally, you may have a product and want to sell to a niche but that niche is very competitive through the pay per click medians and the search engines are just packed.

A strategy that many of the “gurus” take is to go into other markets not related to their “intended” product.

My intended product will provide value to network marketers via the internet however I must realize that they don’t type those kind of keywords.

So I realized who my customers are and where they would go on the internet for their needs. This is where creativity is introduced and you don’t have to be in your niche to sell your product.

What if I began building a list in the job search market? I’ll create a report on how to get a job and layout your resume afterwards I’ll build my list and as I gain more authority in that market.

I come in giving them examples of why a job is great however if they want to live their “dreams” and survive in today’s society it’s critical for them to start a business from home as well as working a part-time job.

Not only have I built a list somewhere but I have provided value and can now move my list in the direction that I originally planned even if it isn’t with the market I joined initially.

Build Your Business And Make Money With Your Autoresponder

autoresponder No Comments »

Let us assume that you have an internet site that sells products and you receive tons of visitors each day but just a small percent of them purchase something from you. Wouldn’t you like that to change? Studies have shown that purchasers will visit more then one site when they are looking for a product, and even if they locate what they are looking for, they wont usually buy it. They will often probably go on to the next site and try to find a better deal, and then never come back. That is one of the reasons you need to get an autoresponder, to ensure that they come back.

Autoresponders are programs which can accomplish a lot more than just answering emails. They can help any internet site owner to increase his businesses profitableness just by applying an autoresponder and creativity. Autoresponders have accumulated sales for many thousands of stores that are online. Here are some pointers that you can use to increase yours:

You can release a newsletter. Some advanced autoresponders will not just handle all of your subscriptions but they will also follow up with your prospected interests too. The newsletter will keep your visitors in touch with the latest info about you services and goods.

As well as a newsletter for your customers, you could also publish a newsletter just for your affiliates telling them about the latest sales and promotions which they can use to increase their sales and commissions.

You can write articles about any newsworthy thing like software, music, movies, books, events in your industry, etc., and distribute them through your autoresponder.

Circulate articles. Compose targeted articles and then broadcast them to the targeted category of people that are in your autoresponder. This marketing technique is very powerful and can help you build credability and build up your traffic. Over time, the sales potential will just rocket. Also if your articles are of a good quailty there are a lot of editors that will print a resource box for you. A resource box is basically a short description about your business, products or services where you can put a link for your readers to find their way to your website.

Construct mailing lists. After you have picked out the category of people that you’ll be targeting, inform them once new articles are written and see if they possibly want to publish them as well.

The sales process can be automated. Use an advertisement to increase your message exposure; this will build up the sales too. Use the “ad” to advertise your autoresponder address and when a possible customer uses the address he must receive a message with your marketing materials in it. These marketing materials can be advertisements, descriptions, testimonials, pictures or even reviews and in this way the chance to change a potential customer in a real customer will grow.

Circulate advertising. If you have some good visitor traffic it’s a good idea to sell advertising. Enable your autoresponder to inform the potential customers about the rates and how to purchase the advertising.

Send out courses through email. Use your autoresponder to send each day a course or a lesson but make certain you check the quality is good and keep it professional. If the content is good it will add to the sales alone. Write about various topics and in the same time advertise your products using tips which will show your products advantages. At the end write a couple of paragraphs about your product, its cost and ask your prospect to consider purchasing it.

Although there are lots of ways to increase sales, build your business and create credability, these are just a few ways an autoresponder can help build your online business. With a little learning and executing you could be well on your way to success in no time at all.

GoGVO sets the standard for great autoresponders, if you want to find out more, go to http://www.gogvowebhosting.com
