More Creative and Profitable Ways to Use Autoreponders

autoresponder No Comments »

An interested visitor who has been strolling through your site has finally found exactly what she is looking for, and is about to make a purchase. If she fails to complete the purchase due to any number of distractions or priorities, you just lost the sale. This can also be a problem if you are offering services – once the visitor leaves, chances are he or she will never find your site again. Even if your visitor bookmarked your site, most people have a glob of bookmarks they will never return to.

However, if you’d had the foresight to utilize an autoresponder that has captured her email address, you can follow up with her, and in all probability, make the sale.

Autoresponders are remarkable, versatile programs that do so much more than just automatically answer your email. Here are a few ideas that will help you to creatively and productively use your autoresponder to transform the casual visitor into a profitable customer. Use your autoresponder to:

1. Publish a newsletter. Certain quality autoresponders will manage subscriptions and follow-up with interested prospects. Your newsletter can keep your visitors informed about your services or products, while building your reputation as a credible expert in your particular business.

2. If you have an affiliate program for your business, publish a newsletter only for your affiliates. Inform them of current sales you are running and of promotional materials that your affiliates can use themselves to increase their commissions. Include tips, advice, and techniques that your affiliates can use to successfully go out and promote your business.

3. Write reviews. Cover books, software, music, e-books, movies, etc. that would be useful or interesting to your target market; and put each review into an occasional autoresponder, just to keep in touch.

4. Distribute your articles. Writing and distributing targeted articles is a powerful tool to build your business credibility, bring traffic to your site, and increase your sales potential. If your articles contain valuable information, many editors will print what is known as a resource box for you. A resource box contains your bio and a brief description of your service or product. It can also contain your autoresponder address. Let’s say you’ve written fifty articles. Put them on separate autoresponder accounts and create a master list that contains the titles of each article, the autoresponder address, and a brief abstract. Then promote your master list. Additionally, include your publishing guidelines so your affiliates can add their articles to your list, increasing the number of writers who are represented in your article list.

5. Create mailing lists. Inform subscribers about your articles when you’ve written new ones, that they may want to publish in their own newsletter or website.

6. Distribute advertising. Let’s say you sell advertising on your website or in your newsletter or e-zine. Set your autoresponder to send the information about rates and how to place an ad automatically to all prospects’ email addresses. Then have your autoresponder follow-up. It can also send notification of any special deals you are currently offering.

7. Distribute an email course. Each day, have your autoresponder send out another lesson. Just be sure that each lesson has quality content – not a sales pitch. Your content will do the selling for you, and will do it much more effectively. You can include tips centered on a different topic for each lesson, illustrating how your product will benefit the reader. Include the tangible benefits the visitor will reap by purchasing your product. Make sure to include a paragraph or two at the end of each lesson enticing your prospect to consider making a purchase.

8. Automate a reminder about your service or product after a visitor has completed your course. This will increase the possibility of sales from visitors who have taken your course but are dragging their feet about actually making a purchase. You can also use these reminders to promote new products or services, and the products and services of your affiliate programs.

9. Distribute free reports. This gives your visitor an idea of the type of information you can provide and the quality of your product or service. Make sure these reports are not sales letters or you will more than likely lose a potential customer than gain a sale.

12. Offer a trial version of your product. Give your prospects a sample of your ebook, course, software, membership, etc. If you are offering something of value and interest to your target market, they will want the rest. You can also capture their email addresses when you offer them a free trial from your website. Set up your autoresponder to give instructions on how to obtain their free trial, and then make sure to follow-up to try and close the sale.

13. Use an autoresponder on your order page. Post a request form for visitors to be notified of special offers or discounts in the future. This creates a very effective mailing list that contains the names of people who are already your customers.

List Building Tips That Help Web Based Business Owners Attract More Traffic

list building No Comments »

List building is the process of gathering the mailing addresses of customers, e.g. e-mail addresses and physical mailing addresses, so you as a web based business owner can use them to attract more traffic. You’ll need to send newsletters or e-mails even snail mails so as to promote your products and services, inform people of any special sale or promos you’re offering, and of course, that your biz is still ‘alive and kicking’. If you don’t know how to build lists, or need some list building tips, you’ve reached one of the best write-ups, so read up:

1. Think of ways to obtain the contact information of your site visitors or potential clients and existing clients. First and foremost, you should have an opt-in page on your home page and entice people to give you their e-mail addresses or their physical addresses, so that you can send them more information, updates, etc, about your products or services. Opt-in pages are part of the list of important ‘tools’ that can attract more traffic to any web based business.

2. Another technique on how to build lists is for you to hand out fliers, calling cards, pamphlets, and the like, to people e.g. your friends, relatives, acquaintances, even total strangers, and make sure to include your website link, your contact information, and so forth. This is included in list building tips because when people visit your site or contact you about your biz, you’ll have the chance to get their information and send them any news about your biz and your services and products.

3. Ever since YouTube was introduced, countless people have gone ‘gaga’ over videos. You can actually create niche relevant and interesting videos (funny, enticing, catchy) so as to attract more traffic to your web based business. Try uploading some videos to YouTube, your Facebook account, and so on, and ensure that you include a link to your website in those videos, and you’ll surely notice how effective it is and why it is one of the answers to the question of how to build lists. The more people view the videos, the higher the probability of your web site gaining more traffic and having more chances of generating sales.

Other essential list building tips worth performing include: creating an account in niche-related forums and participating in discussions while having your link in your signature so as to entice people to check out your site and hopefully fill out your opt-in page; making sure you have good quality content not only in your site but also in the newsletters that you send to the people in your list; using a good auto responder service; and many more.

Different Kinds of List Building – Opt-Ins and More

list building No Comments »

There are many different ways that you can work on building an email list for your website. Additionally, there is a lot of terminology being thrown around today that may be confusing you more than clearing up the situation. The good news is that mastering the different ways of building an email list, based on the level of permission and confirmation given is very easy and will give you a clearer picture of what should improve for your website.

The first kind of list building option you have is a non opt-in signup. This is basically a form where you are collecting a person’s information for another use and then you automatically sign them up for your email list. Typically this is done by pre-checking the “Yes I want to sign up to your list” option at the bottom of the form. The people may be registering for your site, registering for an event, signing up for a contest, making a purchase or anything else. The point is however unless they change that checkbox, they will be signed up for your list.

The next kind of list building option is the opt-in form. This is basically the same thing as above, except in this situation the “Yes I want to sign up to receive your emails” checkbox is left blank. It is up to the user to accept that if they choose to do so. Therefore, they have to be opting in. You can do this on your email signup form or as mentioned, with any other kind of form, such as a registration of some sort.

Following this you have the double opt-in email list signup. When you use a double opt-in, first a person has to manually sign up for your list with an opt-in. Then, an email is immediately sent out to their account. The person has to either click on a link provided in that email or reply to the email itself in order to be completely registered.

With these three options, the complexity increases each time. As a result, you will receive the fewest additions to your email list when you use a double opt-in. You’ll see the most when you use a basic form that’s doesn’t require opt-in. The difference however is going to be in the quality of the prospects that you deliver to your list.

Through each step of the process, comparing the three different methods above, you will be weeding out less interested parties. Therefore, the prospect that successfully completes a double opt-in registration for your email list is going to be extremely interested in whatever it is you have to say, or whatever it is that you’re offering. Your email list may be smaller as a result, but you’ll have highly qualified prospects that you will have a much easier time converting or reaching out to.

Consider these different methods for your website and what might work the best for you. The double opt-in may result in the smallest email list, but the people you have on there you know will be excellent. As the complexity increases, so does the quality of the prospect that you receive.

List Building Secrets Can Be The Key For More Traffic

list building No Comments »

Once you have your system in place, your autoresponder series set up, and these are running smoothly, you want to build various landing pages (splash pages/lead capture pages). While you only really need one, as you can imagine, promoting your website with numerous pages only increases your chances of capturing leads.
The next little list building secret is not really a secret. Driving traffic to your landing page(s). This will take some time as there are several methods to drive traffic, but you can tweak and test to see which ones work best for you.

This is where the commitment comes in. Building a solid list and driving traffic is what separates the winners from the losers.

Google AdWords – A way to advertise to people searching on Google looking for information about a particular niche, like yours.

Free classified ads – Craig’s List, BackPage — Advertise your business for free and reach millions of people. Another option here is to search the “wanted” section. See what people are looking for and extend a helping hand. Just a quick note here: Repetitive listing on free sites will get your ads deleted. Be creative and change your ads. Don’t list them all at once; add one or two a day. This decreases the chance of them being deleted.

Article submissions – Write articles relevant to your niche. Submit them to article directors and provide a link to your page.

Blogs – Use Blogger.com to create blogs for free. Connect and communicate with people interested in your niche. Provide a link to your page. Remember, a blog is not to be used as a sales page. You connect, communicate, and then introduce your niche when appropriate.

Social bookmarking – FaceBook, MySpace and hundreds of others — meet and connect with people across the globe. Develop relationships and promote your products or services. There are more social bookmarking sites than days of the year. You can join one or several. Just remember that you have to actively participate in them so it does take up some time. It’s better to focus on one or two than to have several that you don’t frequent often.

These are just a few ways that you can drive traffic and build lists. All of these are free, with the exception of Google AdWords, although it is definitely worth the cost to utilize this powerful marketing tool. You might want to start with one and gradually include the others. Whatever method or methods you decide to use, know that it will take time and results won’t happen overnight.

Email List Building Revolution Can Help Make You Make More Money

list building No Comments »

Email list building revolution offers many ways to help you develop a powerful, productive email campaign that will constantly help build your business. You will hear it put, “There is money in your list!”. This is how you develop relationships with those that grant you permission to keep in contact with them. When used smartly, you will keep your name, or brand, in people’s minds.

Having a list you can mail to will allow you to boost your sales and establish good will. One thing to keep in mind is you never want to abuse the privilege others give you to keep in contact with them. It is suggested you send out far more emails, spaced out appropriately, that offers advice, tips, or free information than you do for promotions and sales. It is a fine balance, but it is good to remember that keeping a customer is far less costly than trying to create a new one.

List building takes time. There are several techniques that have proven to be very effective and can make the most of all your efforts. For one, you may find that offering a highly valued information product, some effective software, or other gift, will encourage people who visit your website to offer their name and, at least, their email address.

While you will want at least the email address of those visiting your site, getting their first names at least, will make it possible to further personalize your communications with them. People like to hear and read their name. As silly as that might sound, an email that includes their name is more likely to be read. It is one of the little things that can make your emails more effective. More on that in a moment.

It will be necessary to have a means to collect the emails of your visitors. One that many are accustomed to is the landing page that is set up specifically for that purpose. You might include some information about what your offer entails, then provide an easy form for them to fill out. Another is to offer a place to subscribe for regular updates, or a newsletter you offer, on each of the pages. Once that is submitted, they will need to confirm their decision and will receive your offer.

One of the most powerful tools for email marketing is the auto-responder. These are usually included with your website hosting, or you can find free or paid services. Know that the free services will usually include advertisements that the provider chooses in each of the emails that are sent from your account.

You have decided on what you want to offer your subscribers to motivate them to provide you with their contact information. You have a landing page, or sign up form in place. Now you will need to start driving traffic to your offers. Some ideas are to use a signature in forum postings, include the link in article marketing, blog comments and paid or free advertising.

Email list building revolution offers many tips on how to build and effectively market to your subscribers. Having a compelling offer, and always respecting those on your list, is just one way that will create a method for you to build an ever-growing, successful business.

How an Autoresponder Gives You More Chances at Selling Each Customer.

autoresponder No Comments »

If you have been looking into making money online for a while now I’m sure you have heard about email marketing and autoresponders.

An autoresponder is that incredible software that builds your list for you and sends out your sequential email messages.

Hasn’t everybody in Internet marketing heard the line “The Money is in the list!”

What an autoresponder really does is give you a second chance…and a third chance, and a fourth…

That’s it, in a nutshell. Autoresponders can give you dozens of opportunities to sell the same single customer that may or may NOT have purchased from you during their first visit to your site.

Here are the four possible outcomes.

One. The visitor comes to your site and doesn’t buy and subsequently leaves. You’ve got nothing.

Two. Your visitor buys on the first visit, and you made money. But now they are gone. Better than nothing.

Three. They didn’t buy the first time but you have their name and email address! You have a second chance to sell them something. Actually more than a “second chance”. This is big!

Fourth. The visitor to your page arrives, buys, AND leaves their name and email address! That’s the best of both worlds.

Many email marketers will tell you they’d rather have the name and email if they had to choose between a purchase and an opt-in. An opt-in on your list has much more potential than a visitor on your offer page.

The list of your customers, as it grows, is almost the same thing as money in the bank. Your money and growing! You choose how to withdraw it.

I don’t know if you have started an online based business yet but I can tell you that there is no time like right now. Why?

Because there is no recession online…only growth. There’s room for you. Opportunity abounds.

The only things holding you back are…

1. Deciding you want to do it! This isn’t for everybody, but it might be perfect for you.

2. Once you’ve made that decision, you have to decide HOW you are going to go about it.

You could go for Affiliate Sales, Blogging for cash, niche marketing or any of a number of methods for conducting an online business or just making money online.

But, whatever you do, if you want an actual online business, you really HAVE to have an autoresponder or you’ll be leaving a LOT of money on the table. More, actually, than you’ll sell in first time sales on your site.

Here is how I manage my list. This is only a list of my rules.

Rule Number One – Don’t send very often. I use 4 day breaks, which works out to slightly less than 2 per week. It’s also less work for me! I can send better quality.

Rule Number Two – No sales pitches! Give folks information they can use to enhance their efforts and improve their position. Include some links to products, people, and programs that might also improve your subscribers efforts.

Some of those recommendations can be affiliate links (income for you)…but NEVER include affiliate links just for the money. It’s creepy and it will show. Bad karma.

Rule Number Three – The Golden Rule. I won’t send anything that is not helpful or would bother me if I got it. It’s simple.

Those are some of the details of email marketing. No one questions it’s efficacy. You really have to have it or you are not an internet marketer.

It’s just right for you as a marketer if you use it in a way that mirrors your modus operandi.

My advice? Get it, use it, and be cool. An autoresponder will advance and enhance your business.

Email Marketing Solutions Provide Help For Car Dealerships in Bringing More Clients Service Centers

email marketing No Comments »

Email marketing solutions can help your car dealership enhance the number of vehicles that come in for service. Keeping consistent numbers is all well and good, but everyone knows having increasing monthly numbers is better. Email marketing solutions track the campaigns you send out so that you get real time data on the customers who are interested in the promotions you offer them regarding your service centre.

By reminding your customer to bring their cars in for service, you have the opportunity to multiply the amount of vehicles coming in for service. More vehicles for service means higher numbers in sales.

So, how do email marketing solutions help you bring more cars to your service center? Simple, all your customers really need is a reminder: “Hey you know that asset of yours that you paid thousands of dollars for? You need to make sure it’s in tip top shape, and it will only cost you $ 50.”

Your computer database most likely lists all of your clients’ contact information, such as how many times they have visited, and when their vehicle is due for service. This is vital information for you to use when creating a campaign through email marketing solutions.

You can also use the “number of visits” and the “vehicles due for service” categories, to help you segment your email marketing solutions campaigns into frequent users, sometime users, and seldom users.

Now you are ready to create three different marketing campaigns, for three different target customer groups, while reminding them all how important their investment is to them.

Once you have created your campaigns, the magic happens. Email marketing solutions are equipped to track how many people have opened your email, if they have clicked on the promotions, or if they have sent your email on to friends or family.

The data gets even more in depth than that. You can know exactly who opened the email you sent, who clicked on each link within the email, on what day, and at what time. These insights can help you further segment your email marketing solutions campaign. As an example, let’s say that you are tracking those that “frequently” bring their cars in to your service center: 50% are clicking on their “$ 10 off preferred customer” promotion on the weekends; and the other 50% are opening and clicking on their emails from Monday to Friday.

You now have two more customer groups to better target your audience: weekend readers and weekday readers. You can then split your future email marketing campaigns into 2, so that your emails arrive into your customers’ inboxes exactly when they’re most likely to read it.

You will also be able to grow your list with a “forward to friends” button that is available on most email marketing solutions. For those customers that are constantly forwarding your email (we love these guys) you can show your appreciation by segmenting yet again.

You can offer them a special promotion for forwarding your email. This will keep them in the business of continuing to spread the good word about your service center.

It’s really easy to take “tracked” information and turn it into another campaign. Email marketing solutions are very user-friendly, so the tracking feature of most email marketing solutions gives you the option to export the data found within any given field.

Email marketing solutions will bring more people to your automotive dealership service center by providing you with the information you need to segment and target your customers. Catering to your audience’s exact needs will bring more of them to your service center and provide you with a better opportunity to grow your sales per month.

3 Ways to Get More Out Of Your Autoresponder

autoresponder No Comments »

An autoresponder is more than just a way to send e-mail messages automatically to your subscribers, it is a tool that every Internet marketers should have in his toolbox. Even if you have an autoresponder company that you’re working with, you still may not be getting the maximum amount of benefits out of your effort. Here are three different ways to maximize your results and your profits from your autoresponder series.

The first thing that you need to do is make sure that you have a series set up correctly. There are all kinds of different ideas and methods as far as time intervals are concerned between automatic messages. For most people, however, they get used to receiving an e-mail on a specific date. For example, if you send out the initial e-mail to them on Tuesday you should continue to send the e-mails to them on a Tuesday. Not only does this get them used to getting the e-mail on a regular basis, the fact that they originally joined your list on a Tuesday would be a good indicator that they tend to surf the Internet around that time every week.

Another good idea for your autoresponder is to make sure that you don’t sell to your list too quickly. Of course, we are all in business to make money but it’s important that you don’t overdo the selling whenever you’re first contacting those on your list. It is a much better idea to build up a little bit of a relationship with them so that they have a certain amount of trust in what you have to say. By providing them with good, solid information on a regular basis they will be more likely to pull out their wallet whenever it actually comes time to make a purchase decision.

Finally, you need to decide exactly how long your autoresponder series is going to be. Many people do the introductions and an initial sales letter with the original series. Other individuals will set up an entire year’s worth of e-mails so that these individuals are contacted on a weekly basis. Something that many people don’t realize is that it is possible to take an entire year’s worth of messages and then rotate the individuals back to the beginning whenever that year is over. If you do this, you will continue to contact these individuals without any additional work on your part and, believe it or not, not one of them will notice.

Sneaky Autoresponder Tricks To Make Your Email Marketing More Effective

autoresponder No Comments »

Almost everybody knows what an autoresponder is and whenever somebody signs up on your webpage for information, they really aren’t fooled whenever they see a message land in their inbox only moments later. That doesn’t mean, however, that auto responder’s are not effective. Quite the contrary, if they are used properly they can be one of the most beneficial sales tools that you actually use in your Internet marketing efforts. At times, however, it is necessary for you to step outside of the norm in order to increase how effective something can be. While you don’t want to set yourself apart in a bad way, by using a few sneaky tricks, you can actually save yourself a lot of work and build quite a nice business at the same time.

The first autoresponder trick that you could use is personalizing the e-mail message. You may be thinking to yourself, there are plenty of people out there that personalize autoresponder series. While this is true, what many of them skip is personalizing the subject line. You can do this in a number of different ways. The most effective is if you actually put their name in the subject line as this will increase the open rate up to 50%. Another thing that you can do, however, is to include a hidden field in your sign-up form and personalize it according to what they were actually signing up for. This simply becomes another detail on the autoresponder series but if you place it in the subject line, it can also boost the open rate.

Another interesting autoresponder trick that many individuals are not aware of is that people tend to forget what you have already e-mailed them. If you are one that likes to set up long-term autoresponder series, and I highly recommend this, you actually only need to set it up six months to a year in advance. Once an individual reaches the end of the series you can just cycle them right back to the beginning. Although some of them will recognize that they are receiving the same message, for the most part they will simply e-mail you a friendly reminder letting you know that you already sent that message out.

Of course, it all comes down to testing but if you have a few tricks up your sleeve when it comes to auto responders, you would be surprised at how much better your results will be.
